    OPPORTUNITIES

The Cardinal Experience

Webb City School District believes some of the most meaningful learning and growth happens beyond the classroom. Students can explore their interests through multiple fine arts programs, CTE opportunities, clubs at every level, nearly 30 junior high and high school athletic programs, several youth athletic programs, and many other activities and experiences.

Extracurricular participation has been associated with stronger school engagement, academic achievement, educational aspirations, and long-term educational attainment. Recent data found that students participating in organized activities had 1.81 times the odds of reporting above-average academic achievement compared with students who were not involved.

For Webb City, providing a wide range of opportunities means giving every Cardinal more ways to develop talents, build confidence, form meaningful connections, practice leadership and teamwork, and make their school experience richer and more memorable.

What Our Teachers Say...

"I have been so blessed to be a teacher in the Webb City School District. They don't just invest in their students, they truly have invested in me. From my very first day of teaching, the professional mentorship and continuous encouragement from leadership have given me the tools and the confidence to become better every day. This district has also given me lifetime friendships and provided a community that celebrates my professional wins, supports me through challenges, and treats me like family. Keith and I have had the privilege of raising our kids as Webb City Cardinals from kindergarten to their graduation. Thank you, Webb City, for being more than just a school district. Thank you for being our home!" ~ Mary Palmer ~

What Our Alumni Say ...

I was far better prepared for college and post-graduate studies than my peers, many of whom received private school educations. I had great teachers, coaches, administrators, and, most importantly, the support of a community that deeply believed in and invested in WCR7." ~ Judge Joseph Hensley ~

"Coming back to teach in the district that shaped me is incredibly special. What makes this community different is our commitment to loving and supporting students while challenging them to pursue excellence. We don’t lower the bar—we believe in our students enough to raise it. Every day, I get to watch my students grow, work hard, overcome challenges, and discover what they’re capable of. Being able to give back to the community that invested so much in me is an honor, and I’m proud to be home." ~ Mrs. Kenzie Myers ~
