Webb City School District is always looking for substitutes! If you are interested in becoming a substitute for Webb City, please stop by the Central Office located at 411 North Madison Street for an application. For additional information, please speak to Hayley McCall. 

Substitute Requirements

Thank you for your interest in becoming a substitute teacher for the Webb City School District. In order to substitute in the state of Missouri, you must be over the age of 20 years old, you must have completed 36 hours of college instruction from an institution approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary7 Education (DESE) -OR- complete the 20 hours of Frontline course. 

 

REQUIREMENTS TO BE PLACED ON WCSD’s SUBSTITUTE LIST:

  On the DESE website (www.dese.mo.gov)

  • Create a profile (click on “Educator Certification”, then “Substitute Teacher”
  • Send in your official transcripts
  • Obtain your Substitute Certificate

  Other Requirements:

  • Have current fingerprints on file
  • Fill out all paperwork from Webb City Administration Office (including the I-9 Form which requires copies of your ID)
  • Have a background check completed
  • Review Substitute Handbook
  • Have your picture badge made at Webb City Administration Office (you will not get this until the background check comes back)
  • Set up your Frontline account once you are placed in the system (we use an online automated system to fill absence

Instructions for the fingerprint process:

  Google Missouri Highway Patrol Fingerprint

  • Click on “Click Here to Access the MACHS Fingerprint Search Portal”
  • Click on the “Click Here to Register with MACHS”
  • Enter 1057 as the 4-digit Registration Number
  • After completing your information, you will get a code that you will need to take with you to the fingerprinting site

    • You will pay your fee of $41.75 at Atlas

Additional paperwork will be filled out at the Administration Office. The district currently pays $105 per day for substitute teaching. Pay periods end on the last day of the month and checks are issued on the 10th of the following month. All checks will be mailed unless picked up at Webb City School District Administration Office before 3:00 pm on payday. We do not offer automatic deposit.
