Reflections:
BOY: We have strengthened our district’s safety and crisis preparedness through a comprehensive update of our crisis response systems and procedures. This includes restructuring our crisis response plans, enhancing training for intruder, fire, and tornado drills, and conducting reunification training and practice drills to ensure readiness. Safety drills are held multiple times each year, with results reviewed and documented so that procedures can be refined and continuously improved. Staff have also been trained on the district’s emergency response app to support clear and rapid communication during critical incidents. Our School Safety Officer works closely with building administrators to address ongoing safety concerns and collaborates with the Attendance Officer when home-based issues impact student well-being. Collectively, these efforts support a safe, responsive, and well-prepared learning environment for all students and staff.
